Nordstjernan’s journey began with the small, three-masted steamship Annie Thérèse. Facing trade wars and World Wars, Axel Johnson’s cargo ships began to travel farther afield.
1940s to 1970s
What started with a small three-masted steamship have now grown into a group with more than 100 companies and 22 000 employees. Nordstjernan grew in the post-war years and remained a pioneer in the shipping industry.
